I have design a concept of gO gReen with SDLC (( System Development Life Cycle )) that is used in Information Technology. The picture I have designed is an interpretation of this. Hope this would make some sense.

FAMILY HOUNER IS THE FAMILY PROPERTY OF THE HIGHTEST VALUE

In recent past family members who creates love and affections, trust and harmony and dismantle hatred, always used to appreciate other view points that bring prosperity and seek to add new dimensions to the relationship among themselves.

The tide is shifting. Families are no longer about unity. It is about individual isolation. Among the blood relations there is a collective paralysis of Will, Trust, periodic out breaks of suspicious and double speaks. They share the same intensity of hatred, suspicious, revenge among themselves. We are blindly following the West. We have made the West our role model, irrespective of whether the ideas are working for us.

The negative thinking and wrong impression of the present generation is that they consider and compare their parents with a ladder to climb up in life and once the goal is achieved either the ladder is thrown out or put in a corner, as if the parents are born to perform only duties and have no rights . Parents who have not saved for old age and are entirely dependent on their children are much affected. Thus yesterdays masters have become slaves and live a miserable life. Fathers appear to be worse off when it comes to communicating with their children. We must understand the parent does not belong to us; we belong to parents.

In certain cases, the parents are equally responsible for unrest in the family. They are not able to adjust themselves in the present environment where the influence of western culture has played a major role, in the living- style, relationship and behaviour. There are dramatic changes in the development of science and technology, pattern of livings, standard of education, culture and transportation etc. The media and internet service is also playing an important role by high lighting the events and happenings occurred any where in the world with in minutes. It has changed the entire thinking and approach in the day-to-day’s life and in living style. Actually our present education system teaches students how become talented and successful, though it is equally important to learn the virtue of patience, peace, tolerance and gratitude. Life in the metros has become faster. Due to the long working hours and traffic hazards people gets tired resulting frustration and misunderstanding which is also the cause of prevailing family problems. . Certain parents expect more attention and tolerance etc, from the children, which some times due to some reason not possible and they get upset. The dowry system, disrespect towards women, false ego and rigid and orthodox thinking etc. still prevails in some parents. Instead building bridge, they complaint that road is bumpy. As such any move, to over come the misunderstanding miserably fails and the gaps widen.

Another reason for the differences in the family is mainly due to unnecessary interference of the in-laws. The trend is, that after marriage girl always likes to have frequent visits to her parents’ house but would not like her sister-in-law to visit her parents and would rather object. The couple is guided by their in-laws for differences in the family. The parents are, as such, morally bound to give the proper counseling and advice to the children to behave gracefully and avoid unnecessary tension and differences in the family for a peaceful life.

Another main factor for family dispute is the assets of the parents. The law permits equal shares of the all the moveable and unmovable property of the parents to all the children. But as per old precedents, the sons still do not want to part with the assets with the sisters resulting courts cases.

Ironically, if the parents have the assets, some smart/excited children try to grab it, while the parents are alive. In case they have nothing to give, none of the children would like to take the responsibility to take care of them.

The simple truth is that one can have differences, but still be friends or relatives. Let brothers and sisters should not forget that once they were part of the same family and enjoyed equal love and affections from parents. Either they should live together as brothers and sisters or dies together as fools. Collective efforts should be made to move towards normalisation in relationship until terms and promises are achieved. We must lower the wall so that conversations continue with a desire for normalization and respect for each other. Instead giving excuses and blaming try to spread love and affections among themselves and dismantle hatred, revenge and anger.

For living a peaceful and tension free family, some thoughts are:

v Live in peace and let the others also live in peace.

v Create habit to forgive and forget in relationship.

v Hatred brings sufferings, and loving and kindness brings happiness.

v Without give and take there is no life.

v Goal should be for creation of a modern family.

one Saturday

One Saturday morning when I woke up early at 11.56 am I thought should I sleep a bit more and make it past 12 so that I could set a land mark for me to cross it,next time. But my devil inner heart didn’t let me lie on bed and my brain dispatch the leave order to move out and have a look on others in my building which is a kind of hostel consisting employed and students of different fields and backgrounds. We are a complete crowd of 19 from different backgrounds like

Management, engineering, telecom, politics, loafers, unemployed grads and legal consultant. I can say this place is a complete data ware house only needed to be mining.

When I went and make a round I found only 7 people were there in the building and busy. I came back and sat and asked my brain which was still suffering from a recession crash of ideas inspired by the current market situation. Then I buy back my shares and put my thoughts into action and dialled to my girl friend. Girls are always a good medium of time waste unless you have Madonna as your girl friend.

As a creative stupid I always think sleeping may increase the level of creativity innovating new ideas to explore the thoughts into reality as I am portraying my thoughts in words, thanks to Microsoft for MS office which is reducing my pen and paper work otherwise I would have gone for a different work rather than putting my thoughts in to the digital interface. Not necessarily I want to tell that as a lazy guy I choose to lie on bed for few more time within which my brain could function and assign me some task other than offering some food to my hunger. Then suddenly my hands touched something, ahh..don’t get it other ways, it is not any biological human instrument but a book written by one of the great man of my country Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, who does not need any introduction. Being a visionary, a scientist, an innovator and lot to his credit I admire him and sometimes read him when my laziness wants to get rid of my body. The book was IGNITED MINDS (( Unleashing the power within India )) it was chapter no 3, the

topic was “Visionary Teachers and Scientist” where he was telling that it is more important to find out the real intellectual minds from our school age. And suddenly I got inspiration for my article (( Education beyond syllabus )) which I am writing because I felt there are a lot more lies in the corners of India what we can really identify seeing the results of students in examination.

There was an example of Srinivasa Ramanuja who only lived for 33 years ( 1887-1920 ) had no practical formal education or means of living yet he was incredibly agreat talent to Indian Mathematics what is known for its greatness to the world.

The matter of fact, I still remember the kid of standard 2 who taught me to write from different angles on the blackboard that could solve the purpose of teaching them, lines and its utility.

The movie 3 idiots was the first to leave a great impact on people’s mind but before that several attempts being taken by many a people but failed to execute them. Problem is “courage to lead” it to reality what they had thought off in a different way and bit input of society & circumstances also add essence.

The question arises that who want to be an Idiot in its own way of defining self when we have only one life to live (( unless you have seen Raaz Pichhle janam ka )) one life to experiments our strengths and one life to live with our passion. Our education system does not allow us to explore, Race is the only way to reach at the top. Class by class, exam by exam and the numbers just make a long list. In the entire process we forget that in standard 4th I had an innovation of picking sticks and arrange them into an architectural brilliance, my friend told me how to

spin the ball and how different angles of holding pen can result a good handwriting but finally these innovations of different talent turns into careers forced by their parents and ended up with a sales profile or something else which is poles apart from his real talent.

To understand in what I am good at cost so much time and value that you cannot come back to your real strength and finally decide to stick with whatever hell you are now. Cause it takes so much guts and courage to excel your soul from a sold body.

Copenhagen 2009 Climate Conference in Copenhagen 6. - 18. December 2009

In 2012 the Kyoto Protocol to prevent climate changes and global warming runs out. To keep the process on the line there is an urgent need for a new climate protocol. At the conference in Copenhagen 2009 the parties of the UNFCCC meet for the last time on government level before the climate agreement need to be renewed.

Therefore the Climate Conference in Copenhagen is essential for the worlds climate and the Danish government and UNFCCC is putting hard effort in making the meeting in Copenhagen a success ending up with a Copenhagen Protocol to prevent global warming and climate changes.

The Climate Conference will take place in the Bella Center. The conference centre is placed not far from Copenhagen and near the Copenhagen Airport, Kastrup.

Governmental representatives from 170 countries are expected to be in Copenhagen in the days of the conference accompanied by other governmental representatives, NGO's, journalists and others. In total 8000 people are expected to Copenhagen in the days of the climate meeting.

The host of the meeting in Copenhagen is the government of Denmark represented by Connie Hedegaard, the Danish minister of Climate and Energy and Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen. The official sekretariat is placed in connection to The Prime Ministers Office in Copenhagen. Originally the hosting of the climate conference was initiated by the former Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen.

The Danish Government has decided that not only the subject of the conference should be focused on the climate but also the conference itself. Among other initiatives the organizers work on mounting af windmill near the Bella Center to produce climate friendly electricity for the conference.

The conference in Copenhagen is the 15th conference of parties (COP15) in the Framework Convention on Climate Change. The recent meeting in United Nations Climate Change Conferences was held in December 2007 in Bali.

The secretary for the climate conferences is the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change UNFCCC - based in the German city Bonn.

An important part of the scientific background for the political decisions taken on the conferences is made by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change IPCC, based in Geneva, Switzerland. The IPCC is Established to provide the decision-makers and others interested in climate change with an objective source of information about climate change. IPCC is a scientific intergovernmental body set up by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). In 2007 the IPCC received the Nobel Peace Price).

The Climate Conference in Copenhagen is organized in cooperation between the Ministry of Climate and Energy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, Ministry of Finance and the Prime Minister's Office.

Value of a Tree

Trees have long been valued as an asset and humans have benefited from their co-existence with trees for as long as they have been on this planet. For thousands of years timber has been second to none as a building material and has provided shelter to people from ancient times right up to the present day. Needless to say, the edible fruit of countless trees has been of immense value in providing nutrients and sustenance to people since the dawn of time. But these are just the obvious benefits provided by our leafy wooded partners on this fragile planet of ours.

Ecologists are telling us with increasing urgency that we need to preserve what is left of our forests for the sake of our planet. In fact many people consider that global warming is the greatest threat to our planet in history. Mankind is responsible for the emission of vast quantities of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere which has resulted in the so called greenhouse effect, but people need to realise that one of the best ways of storing carbon and preventing it from going up into the atmosphere is to maintain our forests.

Tree expert, Dr. Greg Moore, from the University of Melbourne, in Australia, explains that a large tree may weigh about a hundred tonnes, half of which is above ground and half of which is below ground. About 80% of the tree is water, and the remaining 20% is made up of various chemicals, including 10 tonnes of carbon. If this tree dies, then that carbon in released into the atmosphere, where it combines with oxygen and forms carbon dioxide. A tree can store carbon for four or five hundred years.

There are other, perhaps not so well known benefits of trees, both in an urban and rural landscape. In times of flood, vegetation growing on a river will slow the rate at which the water flows, meaning that less damage will occur downstream. If the trees are lost to the riverbank then the flow of water increases and more destruction will occur downstream.

Trees also perform valuable functions in an urban environment. Dr. Moore explains that mature trees reduce wind speed which results in a reduction in the amount of stress on buildings. They also help to control pollution by acting as filters, but perhaps the most surprising finding is that trees can actually help to prolong the life of roads and other asphalt surfaces in urban areas. It is recognized that root systems of large trees can damage asphalt and concrete, but it is not so well known that the shade from large trees actually prolongs by three or four times the life of materials such as asphalt. This shade also helps to prolong the life of paintwork on our homes.

Dr. Moore believes that it is essential to ascribe a monetary value to trees. He explains that people believe that we can simply replace them if they die, but maintenance is much better value because we have invested huge amounts of money in the trees over hundreds of years.

It seems that no matter from what perspective you are looking, trees are an increasingly valuable asset not only to us as individuals, but to the human race.

Why is the media here so negative?

Why are we in India so embarrassed to recognize our own strengths, our achievements? We are such a great nation. We have so many amazing success stories but we refuse acknowledge them--- Why?

We are the first in milk production.

We are number one in Remote sensing satellites.

We are the second largest producer of wheat.

We are the second largest producer of rice.

Look at Dr. Sudarshan , he has transferred the tribal village into a self-sustaining, self-driving unit.

There are millions of such achievements but our media is only obsessed in the bad news and failures and disasters.

I was in Tel Aviv once and I was reading the Israeli newspaper. It was the day after a lot of attacks and bombardments and deaths had taken place. The Hamas had struck. But the front page of the newspaper had the picture of a Jewish gentleman who in five years had transformed his desert into an orchid and a granary. It was this inspiring picture that everyone woke up to. The gory details of killings, bombardments, deaths, were inside in the newspaper, buried among other news.

In India we only read about death, sickness, terrorism, crime.

Why are we so NEGATIVE?

Another question: Why are we, as a nation so obsessed with foreign things? We want foreign TVs, we want foreign shirts. We want foreign technology.

Why this obsession with everything imported. Do we not realize that self-respect comes with self-reliance? I was in Hyderabad giving this lecture,when a 14 year old girl asked me for my autograph. I asked her what her goal in life is. She replied: I want to live in a developed India . For her, you and I will have to build this developed India . You must proclaim. India is not an under-developed nation; it is a highly developed nation.

Do you have 10 minutes? Allow me to come back with a vengeance.

Got 10 minutes for your country? If yes, then read; otherwise, choice is yours.

YOU say that our government is inefficient.

YOU say that our laws are too old.

YOU say that the municipality does not pick up the garbage.

YOU say that the phones don't work, the railways are a joke,

The airline is the worst in the world, mails never reach their destination.

YOU say that our country has been fed to the dogs and is the absolute pits.

YOU say, say and say. What do YOU do about it?

Take a person on his way to Singapore . Give him a name - YOURS. Give him a face - YOURS. YOU walk out of the airport and you are at your International best. In Singapore you don't throw cigarette butts on the roads or eat in the stores.... YOU are as proud of their Underground links as they are. You pay $5 (approx. Rs. 250) to drive through Orchard Road (equivalent of Mahim Causeway or Pedder Road ) between 5 PM and 8 PM. YOU come back to the parking lot to punch your parking ticket if you have over stayed in a restaurant or a shopping mall irrespective of your status identity... In Singapore you don't say anything, DO YOU?

YOU wouldn't dare to eat in public during Ramadan, in Dubai .

YOU would not dare to go out without your head covered in Jeddah .

YOU would not dare to buy an employee of the telephone exchange in London at 10 pounds ( Rs.650) a month to, 'see to it that my STD and ISD calls are billed to someone else.'

YOU would not dare to speed beyond 55 mph (88 km/h) in Washington and then tell the traffic cop,'Jaanta hai main kaun hoon (Do you know who I am?). I am so and so's son. Take your two bucks and get lost.'

YOU wouldn't chuck an empty coconut shell anywhere other than the garbage pail on the beaches in Australia and New Zealand .

Why don't YOU spit Paan on the streets of Tokyo ? Why don't YOU use examination jockeys or buy fake certificates in Boston ??? We are still talking of the same YOU.

YOU who can respect and conform to a foreign system in other countries but cannot in your own. You who will throw papers and cigarettes on the road the moment you touch Indian ground. If you can be an involved and appreciative citizen in an alien country, why cannot you be the same here in India ?

Once in an interview, the famous Ex-municipal commissioner of Bombay , Mr. Tinaikar , had a point to make. 'Rich people's dogs are walked on the streets to leave their affluent droppings all over the place,' he said. 'And then the same people turn around to criticize and blame the authorities for inefficiency and dirty pavements. What do they expect the officers to do? Go down with a broom every time their dog feels the pressure in his bowels? In America every dog owner has to clean up after his pet has done the job. Same in Japan . Will the Indian citizen do that here?' He's right. We go to the polls to choose a government and after that forfeit all responsibility.

We sit back wanting to be pampered and expect the government to do everything for us whilst our contribution is totally negative. We expect the government to clean up but we are not going to stop chucking garbage all over the place nor are we going to stop to pick a up a stray piece of paper and throw it in the bin.

We expect the railways to provide clean bathrooms but we are not going to learn the proper use of bathrooms.

We want Indian Airlines and Air India to provide the best of food and toiletries but we are not going to stop pilfering at the least opportunity. This applies even to the staff who is known not to pass on the service to the public. When it comes to burning social issues like those related towomen, dowry, girl child! and others, we make loud drawing room protestations and continue to do the reverse at home. Our excuse?

'It's the whole system which has to change, how will it matter if I alone forego my sons' rights to a dowry.' So who's going to change the system? What does a system consist of ? Very conveniently for us it consists of our neighbours, other households, other cities, other communities and the government. But definitely not me and YOU.

When it comes to us actually making a posit ive contribution to the system we lock ourselves along with our families into a safe cocoon and look into the distance at countries far away and wait for a Mr.Clean to come along work miracles for us with a majestic sweep of his hand or we leave the country and run away. Like lazy cowards hounded by our fears we run to America to bask in their glory and praise their system. When New York becomes insecure we run to England .. When England experiences unemployment, we take the next flight out to the Gulf. When the Gulf is war struck, we demand to be rescued and brought home by the Indian government. Everybody is out to abuse and rape the country. Nobody thinks of feeding the system. Our conscience is mortgaged to money.

Dear Indians, The article is highly thought inductive, calls for a greatdeal of introspection and pricks one's conscience too.... I am echoing J. F. Kennedy 's words to his fellow Americans to relate to Indians.....

'ASK WHAT WE CAN DO FOR INDIA

AND DO WHAT HAS TO BE DONE TO MAKE INDIA

WHAT AMERICA AND OTHER WESTERN COUNTRIES ARE TODAY'

Lets do what India needs from us.
